In days gone by before the age of computers, complicated technical design and in-depth scientific research by the likes of British Cycling, if you’d wanted to buy a new bicycle you would probably have walked into a bike shop, been asked your inside leg measurement, sat on a bike and said that feels about right!
Nowadays the art of choosing the right fitting bike is considerably more complicated or at least it’s as complicated as you want it to be. The term ‘Bike Fit’ can relate to anything from your inside leg measurement all the way up to a full technical analysis of your riding style and power output. And just like the range of Bike Fit offerings there’s a range of prices for this service to match.
We are based in Burbage, Leicestershire and can offer a manual (non-technical, non-computerised) economic bike fitting session with the aim of assisting the rider in achieving the most suitable set-up of their bike to gain optimum comfort. If a bike is fitted well to a rider they should be able to ride comfortably without any excessive strains, aches or pains on any specific part of their body.
The initial session should take no longer than an hour. This service is ideally suited to the rider with either a road bike or mountain bike and riding with clipless pedals. During the session adjustments may be made to the set up of your bike and recommendations may be made for alternative components in some cases.
It is important to note that our bike fitting sessions are not guaranteed to make you ride better, further or faster. We simply aim to help you get the most out of your cycling by feeling comfortable and at one with your bike.
